SEN Parent & Carer Circle
Supporting SEN parents & carers through connection, understanding and shared experience.
Being a SEN parent or carer can be isolating, exhausting and emotionally demanding, whether you are balancing work alongside caring responsibilities or not.
SEN (Special Educational Needs) includes a wide range of additional needs relating to learning, communication, neurodivergence, physical health or emotional wellbeing. For many families, navigating support systems can be complex and ongoing.
Daily realities:
- advocating for education or health support
- explaining needs to professionals
- managing appointments and systems
- balancing work and caring
- noticing friendships decline
It can often feel as though few people truly understand the daily reality.
The SEN Parent & Carer Circle was created to offer a different experience. A calm, facilitated space where parents and carers can speak openly, share knowledge, and feel understood by others navigating similar challenges.
Connection often brings reassurance, shared insight, and practical knowledge that makes daily life feel less isolating.
Alongside supporting your child, the SEN Circle also recognises the importance of reconnecting with your own identity and wellbeing.
Format:
-
Monthly 60-minute online sessions
- Small facilitated group

"As a working SEN parent, my sense of who I was had been eroded over the years and I was exhausted trying to balance constant advocacy as a parent with work. I felt guilty everywhere in my life, that I was doing everything, but not doing anything well. Anna helped me to develop strategies to protect my energy and regain my confidence and identify, helping me to avoid burnout."
