In October 2025, I wrote a supporting blog for neurobox to raise awareness of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
With 1 in 200 people estimated to suffer from OCD, this widely misunderstood complex condition can be debilitating and rip through families, destroying everything in it's path. OCD more prevalent in neurodivergent individuals, than within any other neurotype particularly an estimated 37% within the autistic community.
In this article I explore what OCD really is, the misconceptions and stigma that can increase symptoms for those who suffer, and the support you can offer to someone you may know with OCD, or generally as an ally in the workplace or community.
